Custom Speaker Packaging Boxes

Speaker packaging boxes can be designed to suit specific speaker models. They typically have a solid base, sturdy walls, and a lockable lid. Designs can be minimalistic or sophisticated, with branding, logos, and graphics. These range in general from tiny boxes for portable speakers to big crates for subwoofers. Paperboard, corrugated cardboard, and wood are the raw materials. These custom boxes are used across various industries. Those are consumer electronics, studio equipment, and musical instruments.

Types of Custom Speaker Packaging Boxes

Rigid Boxes

Solid boxes are constructed of thick paperboard. They are typically associated with expensive or higher-end speaker brands. Cardboard boxes are perfect for speakers who need that extra bit of protection. They are typically reserved for limited-edition or premium items. They are ideal for speakers that require extra attention when they are being packed.

Folding Cartons

Folding cartons are flexible packaging. They are available in tuck-end, reverse tuck-end, and auto-bottom styles. Tuck-end boxes are boxes whose flaps fold into each other and hold the contents. Reverse tuck-end boxes work the same way with the flaps turned upside down.

Auto-bottom boxes have a flat bottom and automatically fold up when they are assembled. These boxes work for small- to medium-size speakers. They are inexpensive and easy to operate. Depending on the speaker’s weight, the material can be changed to help keep it safe in transit. Folding cartons work well for speakers of any size.

Corrugated Boxes

Corrugated boxes are layers of material. The box’s tenacity stems from its flute and lining. The flutes (A, B, C, E and F) vary in thickness and acoustic properties. A flute has the most enveloping effect. Flute is thinner but stacks well. They are available in single-wall, double-wall, or triple-wall versions. You cana lso order custom tote boxes in corrugated material.

Monolithic boxes accommodate smaller speakers. Double- and triple-wall versions provide added protection for larger speakers. Corrugated boxes are flexible and are often utilised to ship speakers.

Material Grades and Properties

The grade of material determines how durable and printable the packaging is. Paperboards such as SBS (Solid Bleached Sulfate) are flat and ideal for quality printing. This makes them ideal for high-end speaker packaging. Corrugated boards, such as CCNB (Clay Coated Newsback), provide durability at a low cost.
Box strength is measured using the ECT (Edge Crush Test). Choose the right material so that packaging can endure the transport process. It also keeps it professional while defending the product.

Products that Use Custom Speaker Packaging Boxes

Bookshelf Speakers Boxes

bookshelf speakers contain fragile internal parts and should be carefully shipped. Packaged specifically for these speakers, these speakers are often packed with foam inserts or molded pulp. These materials help to sooth the speakers and shield them from harm.

The speakers are firmly held in place by foam inserts. Molded pulp, however, is non-toxic and provides similar protection. The boxes are designed so the speakers reach their destination without causing damage to sensitive components.

Subwoofers Packaging Boxes

Subwoofers are heavier and need sturdy packaging to withstand the strains of shipping. Packages need to withstand the weight and keep the subwoofer from collapsing. Corner protectors help to protect exposed parts from damage.

Strong corrugated board, often double-wall or triple-walled, adds more durability. This type of packaging means that the subwoofers don’t jiggle or break when in transit.

Portable Bluetooth Speakers Packaging

Portable Bluetooth speakers are compact and require small, attractive packaging. The packaging should display the product with sufficient protection. Window patching lets buyers observe the item outside the box.
The speaker is also encased in blister wrap to prevent it from moving within the box. These packaging designs not only keep the speaker safe, but also provide attractive, small packaging to customers.

Soundbars Packaging Boxes

Soundbars are wavy, and require long packaging to ensure they don’t bend. We add internal stabilisers to ensure that the soundbar doesn’t shift when being transported.

These straps offer additional articulation to the spine and its edges. Long packaging keeps the soundbar safe on the journey from manufacturer to consumer.

Design Options for Custom Speaker Packaging Boxes

Size and Shape

The packaging box size and form factor depend on the speaker’s size and shape. The internal size is precisely measured to accommodate the speaker. This includes the height, width, and depth, as well as any specialties such as sticking buttons or handles.

Some have cutouts or molded locations to support things such as speaker dials or connectors.

Material Selection

Which material you select will depend on how much protection you require and how you want it to appear. Paperboard is a staple of most speakers, particularly small or light speakers. It is categorised in SBS (Solid Bleached Sulfate) or C1S (Coated One Side).

A flute provides thicker padding, and E flute is a little more slim and appropriate for small designs.

Printing and Branding

Custom speakers packaging is often printed in a variety of ways. Offset printing is well known for its superior results. It delivers crisp resolution and accurate colour reproduction. The technique involves placing plates onto the surface to press ink.

Flexography makes use of plastic relief plates and can perform better in larger runs. But it is not as precise as offset printing. The digital printing industry is booming. It involves direct printing from digital sources.

Depending on the finishing of the print, multiple finishes are available. Water-based coatings re-enforce the printed artwork.

Opening and Closing Mechanisms

You can also create custom packages that have different opening and closing mechanisms. The boxes feature magnetic lids. Tiny magnets have been inserted into the box. They snap into place once the packaging is sealed. That makes it unnecessary to use visible fasteners.

Velcro closures are used when you want to use a reusable, simple closure. Velcro strips attach to the box flaps. These offer an easy, secure, and customisable fastening option. Individual inserts or dividers inside the package are designed to help prevent damage. Foam cushions are moulded into the speaker’s shape. They offer cushioning and stability. Corrugated inserts are often used for products that are heavier in weight but rigid without being too heavy. Molded pulp is another option. It’s crafted of recycled paper or cardboard. Molded pulp is sculpted around the speaker.

Customisation Options for Custom Speaker Packaging Boxes

Unique Shapes and Cutouts

Make your own shapes, or cutouts for windows. This allows you to generate custom packages. You can promote your speaker’s style and put it on display at stores.

Perforations or tear-off tabs can be added to the die-cutting as well. This makes it convenient for consumers to remove the box.

Custom Colours and Finishes

You can reproduce colours with Pantone matching systems (PMS). This helps to ensure that your brand colours remain consistent on your packaging.

Additionally, you can select from finishes such as matte, gloss, or varnish. This also gives your packaging an additional customisation factor.

Foil Stamping and Embossing/Debossing

The foil stamping and embossing/debossing gives your packaging a professional appearance. You can choose different foil colours to fit your brand.

You can even customise embossing and debossing designs. This makes for a distinctive, opulent packaging feel.

Die-cutting and Laser Cutting

There are two methods to cut complex patterns, the die-cutting and laser cutting. Die-cutting is great for simple shapes.

Laser cutting is more suited for complicated shapes. It lets you cut with perfection and make small adjustments.

Specialised Coatings and Textures

Certain coatings and textures can make your packaging stand out. For instance, soft-touch coating gives your boxes a sophisticated look.

Spot UV can be applied to highlight individual design elements. Embossed textures will add visual appeal to your packaging. These coatings also protect against scratches and fading.
