Responsibly sourced paperboard options available for selected packaging specifications.
Recycled Board
Recycled-content board can support practical, lower-impact packaging applications.
Kraft Packaging
Kraft board offers a natural appearance and is widely used for recyclable retail and ecommerce packaging.
Plastic-Free Options
Paper-based structures and inserts can reduce reliance on plastic components in suitable applications.
Compostable Choices
Compostable options may be considered where suitable materials, coatings and disposal routes are available.
Reducing Impact Through Better Packaging Decisions
Sustainable packaging is not achieved through one material or claim. We consider the complete packaging system to identify practical opportunities to use materials more efficiently, reduce waste and maintain the performance your product requires.
Right-Sized Packaging
Packaging dimensions are developed around your product, inserts and distribution requirements to reduce unnecessary board use, oversized packs and avoidable shipping volume.
Material Efficiency
We recommend board grades and structures according to product weight, fragility, stacking requirements and supply chain conditions rather than automatically specifying heavier materials.
Efficient Manufacturing
Accurate dielines, considered sheet layouts and controlled production processes help improve material utilisation and reduce avoidable manufacturing waste.
Designed for Recycling
Where practical, we recommend paper-based, mono-material structures and carefully selected finishes that can support simpler separation and recycling after use.
Clearer Information. More Responsible Choices.
Sustainability claims should be supported by accurate material information. We help businesses understand available certifications, recycled-content options and the effect that coatings, laminations and finishes can have on packaging disposal.
Discuss Your Material RequirementsFSC® Certified Materials
FSC-certified material options are available for eligible projects where verified responsible forest sourcing is required.
Recycled Content Options
Depending on the packaging application, we can recommend paperboard and corrugated materials containing recycled fibre.
Food Packaging Considerations
For food packaging projects, materials, coatings and barriers can be selected according to the product, direct or indirect food contact and applicable packaging requirements.
Material Documentation
Material specifications and relevant supplier documentation can be discussed during quotation and material selection, depending on the project requirements.
Responsible Finish Selection
Laminations, coatings, metallic effects, windows and other components can influence recyclability. We help clients consider these factors before production.
Practical Solutions for Different Products and Supply Chains
There is no single packaging material or structure that is right for every business. We recommend solutions based on product protection, distribution conditions, presentation requirements and sustainability priorities.

Sustainable Packaging Questions Answered
Clear answers to common questions about materials, recyclability, coatings, certifications and the practical choices involved in creating lower-impact packaging.
01 What makes packaging more sustainable?
More sustainable packaging usually uses responsibly sourced or recycled materials, avoids unnecessary components, is correctly sized for the product and can be reused, recycled or responsibly disposed of after use. The best solution also needs to protect the product effectively, because damaged goods and repeat deliveries can create additional waste.
02 Do you offer FSC-certified packaging materials?
FSC-certified material options are available for selected paperboard and corrugated packaging specifications. Availability depends on the board grade, thickness, production method and order requirements. Certification requirements should be confirmed during quotation so the appropriate material can be sourced.
03 Can printed packaging still be recycled?
Many printed paperboard and corrugated boxes can be recycled, provided they are clean and do not contain unsuitable mixed-material components. Recyclability can be affected by heavy laminates, plastic windows, magnetic closures, foam inserts and specialist coatings. Local recycling rules may also differ.
04 Are matt, gloss and soft-touch finishes recyclable?
It depends on the finish, film type, coverage and the recycling facility processing the packaging. Some water-based coatings and recyclable film options may offer a better end-of-life route than conventional plastic laminates. We can help compare suitable finishes based on appearance, protection and recyclability priorities.
05 Can you create completely plastic-free packaging?
Plastic-free packaging is possible for many retail, ecommerce, gift and food applications. Paperboard structures, corrugated inserts, moulded fibre components and paper-based windows may replace plastic elements in suitable projects. Product protection, food contact, moisture resistance and shelf-life requirements must still be considered.
06 Is recycled board suitable for premium printed packaging?
Yes, recycled board can be suitable for premium packaging, although its surface colour, texture and print consistency may differ from virgin fibreboard. The most suitable grade depends on the artwork, colour accuracy, finishing method and structural performance required.
