From Shawarma Packaging Requirement to Custom Food-Safe Sleeves
CHASKA required a practical and branded packaging sleeve for freshly prepared shawarma. The packaging needed to hold the product securely, support direct food use, and include a centre perforation so customers could open the sleeve easily while eating. The box shape was not a standard rectangular carton. It required a pillow-style structure with a wider top, narrower bottom, and a gusset depth to support the shawarma format. Healey Packaging reviewed the sizing, material, print requirements, and perforation detail, then produced a custom sleeve with CHASKA’s full-colour branding on the outside and a clean plain white inside.

Our Packaging Process
CHASKA needed a custom pillow-style sleeve for shawarma packaging with branded outside print.
The sleeve size was confirmed as 240mm height, 120mm top width, 80mm bottom width, and approximately 50mm gusset depth.
300gsm BSB card was selected because it was suitable for direct food use and strong enough for the sleeve format.
The outside was prepared for full-colour CMYK CHASKA branding, while the inside remained plain white.
A centre-of-the-box perforation was added as requested to make the sleeve easier to open.
The sleeves were produced with the selected lamination option and checked for shape, print quality, and usability.
