Dough! needed food-safe branded bakery boxes with a premium look, reliable folding strength, and inside-and-outside printing. After sample testing, Healey Packaging refined the material from 350gsm stock to stronger 460gsm SBS card with a matte finish, producing custom boxes across two sizes for delivery to Manchester.
The Challenge

- Used matte finish to reduce the overly glossy look and create a more premium presentation.

Our Packaging Process
Dough! requested food-safe branded boxes in two sizes with two-colour printing on both the inside and outside.
The requirement was refined from e-flute corrugated stock to solid board because the printed boxes would be protected inside an outer shipping box.
Healey Packaging prepared proofing support and supplied a sample so the customer could check colour, size, fold, and material feel.
The customer liked the colour, size, and folds, but wanted a less glossy and stronger material option that still remained food-safe.
The project was upgraded to 460gsm SBS card with a matte finish to improve structure, folding confidence, and premium feel.
After artwork and proof approval, the boxes went into production and were delivered to Manchester.
