A product that fits comfortably across the base may still be too tall or awkward near the sloping panels. Before making the dieline, we need the product dimensions, how it will sit and whether any insert or internal support is required. Getting that part right avoids a good-looking box that is frustrating to fill.

Pyramid packaging is particularly useful when presentation matters more than maximum packing efficiency. Chocolates, confectionery, jewellery, promotional items and event favours can all work well in this format.

Printing Across Sloping Panels Needs Planning

Artwork looks different once flat panels are folded into a three-dimensional pyramid. Text placed too close to a fold can become difficult to read. Graphics intended to connect across several panels need accurate positioning.

Custom printed pyramid boxes are therefore best designed using the final dieline rather than placing existing artwork onto the box at the last minute.

The available surfaces can carry logos, product information, seasonal graphics and promotional messages without every panel needing to be filled.
