Choose the format around how the sweets will be arranged and handed over. A compact tuck-end carton is an option for a small wrapped assortment or sealed pouch. Longer cartons can be developed around wrapped candy canes, with room for their curved tops.

For mixed gifts, a sleeve-and-tray format lets the buyer slide out the sweets and see the arrangement. Plan the tray around the complete assortment so taller packs do not catch against the sleeve. Measure the Sweets With Their Wrapping in Place

Specify usable internal length × width × depth in millimetres. Measure candy canes from the lowest tip to the top of the hook, including wrapping, and check their maximum width. For Christmas sweet assortments, measure the complete arrangement with space for dividers, loading and removal. Piece count alone cannot establish box size. Check external dimensions separately for shelves and shipping cartons. Use the actual wrapped canes to check hook clearance and confirm that loading or closing the carton does not press against them.

Christmas Confectionery Packaging by Board and Print

White SBS paperboard provides a bright printing surface for festive illustrations and product details. Brown kraft changes the background colour, so review artwork contrast on the proposed stock. For more substantial Christmas confectionery packaging, discuss a flip-top rigid box. Agree its board, internal support and supply format around the assortment, including any assembly your team must complete.

Paperboard dividers or fitted inserts can separate different sweets. Allow finger access so recipients can lift items without disturbing neighbouring packs. Confirm whether inserts arrive loose or fitted. A window can reveal part of the selection. Agree its construction and position around folds, closures and the products displayed behind it.

Separate Wrapped Sweets With Card Inserts

Paperboard dividers or fitted card inserts can give different shapes their own positions within a Christmas sweet box. Start with the actual wrapped products, including any raised seams or pouch seals. An insert should leave enough room to lift each item out without pulling neighbouring sweets with it.

A die-cut window can reveal part of the assortment where the structure allows. Keep the opening clear of the main branding and check which products will sit behind it. Window construction and whether inserts arrive separately or fitted should be agreed in the quotation.

Place Festive Print Around the Box Structure

CMYK printing suits multicolour illustrations, patterns and seasonal product graphics. A matt finish with selective gold or silver foil can highlight a logo or short gift message. Gloss and spot UV offer other effects, subject to the selected board and printing method.

Plan artwork across the closed box, including where a sleeve or flap covers another panel. Keep product names and any barcode away from folds, glue areas and window edges. For designs that continue beyond Christmas, our custom candy packaging provides a starting point for year-round packs.

Review Artwork and Samples Before Production

Flat artwork views and 3D mock-ups help you review panel placement and presentation. Physical sampling is available on request to assess the agreed features, such as fit and assembly. Confirm sample charges, timing and whether it represents the final board, print or finish. Original artwork, revisions, tooling and editable-file handover should also be agreed in your quote.

Allow Time for Production and Christmas Packing

For wholesale Christmas candy packaging enquiries, include the quantity needed for each size and design. Share your required arrival date and allow time afterwards to fill and prepare the boxes. Production takes 7–10 working days after artwork approval; design, revisions and sampling can take place beforehand, while transit time is additional.

Free shipping covers our empty packaging deliveries to the UK and USA. If you will post filled sweet boxes to customers, plan a suitable shipping outer and any necessary internal protection separately. The presentation carton is only one part of that parcel.
