Custom Flower Boxes for Bouquets and Arrangements

Start with what happens after packing. A handover bouquet needs an opening that lets customers lift it out and carry it easily. Courier packs need an enclosed layout for the journey. An open display also leaves foliage and flower heads exposed.

Cardboard flower boxes offer a printable surface for florist branding. Rigid board provides a firmer presentation format for boxed arrangements. The board and base need to suit the filled weight, including water and the inner vessel.

For fresh bouquets, describe how the stems are wrapped and supported. Preserved or artificial flowers need a layout based on their finished shape and contact points. Keep these requirements separate when ordering packaging for several floral lines.

Keep Moisture Inside a Separate Liner or Vessel

Wet floral arrangements need a liner or vessel that keeps water away from the board. Measure the liner or vessel you intend to use before specifying the surrounding box. Its shape and depth affect the fit and the base beneath it.

A matt or gloss finish changes the surface appearance; it does not make the box watertight. The water barrier needs to suit how you pack the flowers. Identify which parts you provide and which you want included in the quotation.

Weigh the water and supports along with the flowers. If carrying handles are required, specify the full weight and how customers will lift the pack. A gift ribbon alone should not be treated as a load-bearing handle.

Choose the Shape Around the Finished Display

We offer round, square and rectangular formats, alongside tall flower boxes for longer arrangements. A round flower box starts with the usable internal diameter and depth. For a square or rectangular box, record the internal length, width and depth required.

Measure the spread of the flowers too. Blooms may extend beyond the container even when the liner fits neatly inside. State whether the lid must close over the flowers or sit separately beside the finished display.

A rose count cannot show the space needed by itself. Bloom size, foliage and how tightly the flowers are packed change the space needed. For large or extra-large flower boxes, send the finished dimensions rather than relying on a size label.

Bouquet packs also need measurements for the wrapped stem bundle and hydration pack. Include any accompanying gift in the layout, with space between it and the flowers. Decide whether that item needs a separate compartment.

Plan Postal Packs Around the Complete Arrangement

Our flower postal boxes are specified for dispatch, with the layout agreed around the packed flowers. Start with the packed stem length and bloom width, then include wrapping, hydration components and any support used inside. Explain the intended delivery route and packing orientation.

A presentation arrangement may need a separate shipping outer. Our postal cartons provide another starting point when the finished floral box needs enclosing. Size that outer around the packed presentation box and its padding and supports.

Record how stems will be restrained and where the flower heads need clearance. Loose tissue does not replace a method of holding the arrangement in position. Review the complete packed layout before committing to repeat supply.

Postal does not automatically mean letterbox-sized. Compare the finished outer dimensions with the chosen delivery service’s limits. Any required transit assessment should cover the full arrangement and shipping pack together.

Print for the Box Face Customers Will See

One-colour branding suits a simple florist name or logo. Full-colour artwork allows floral patterns, occasion graphics and seasonal designs. We offer digital and offset printing, with the process selected around the artwork, board and quantity.

Place the main branding where flowers will not hide it. On a round box, account for the wrap seam; on separate lids and bases, check their alignment. Keep small care text readable and away from folds or joins.

Matt and gloss finishes provide different surface appearances. Foil can highlight a name or logo, while soft-touch is an optional tactile finish. Select these around the intended handling and moisture exposure.

A personalised flower box can carry event details or seasonal branding. Christmas artwork may share the same structure as an existing design, provided the arrangement still fits. List each artwork version separately when quantities differ.

Record Each Size and Design Before Production

For wholesale flower box enquiries, state the quantity for each size and design. Include the liner measurements, filled weight and packing method with that breakdown. A photograph helps explain the appearance but cannot replace dimensions.

We can help with artwork setup once the format is agreed. Use the structural layout to position print; a visual mock-up alone does not show that the contents fit. For repeat orders, identify any changes to the arrangement, vessel or artwork version.
