SBS Board
Smooth white board for premium printed retail packaging.
Our custom probiotic packaging consists of printed outer cartons for your sealed bottles, blister strips and sachet packs. Choose custom sizes and branded printing, with room for approved product details and card fittings to hold the sealed packs in position. Healey Packaging offers no minimum order quantity, with single-unit cartons and multipacks specified around the primary packs your business will load and sell. Share the container measurements and filled weight, along with your packing method, so we can discuss the board, closure and print layout.
Product details
Start with the container that already holds your supplement. A bottle carton surrounds the capped bottle, while a blister carton accommodates the strips and any leaflet. Sachet packs need a layout based on the filled units.
The primary packaging and storage conditions remain part of the product’s stability specification. Probiotic packaging boxes carry your branding and information, with support around the sealed contents. Decorative foil or lamination does not establish protection against moisture inside a bottle.
For brands also selling vitamins or powders, our cartons for other supplement formats cover those packing requirements. Each primary pack still needs its own fit assessment.
Measure a bottle at its widest point and include the cap in the overall height. Raised labels or unusual cap shapes can affect loading. Capsule count and nominal bottle volume cannot replace these measurements.
For blister cartons, record the strip length, width and filled thickness. Include the number of strips and the folded leaflet in the layout. Space that looks spare in an empty carton may be needed once everything is loaded.
Filled sachets have more depth than flat film. Measure the sealed edges and arrange the intended count as it will sit inside the box. Channels or partitions can organise the units where the packing method requires them.
Use millimetres and distinguish usable internal space from the finished box’s external size. A fitted card insert can locate a bottle; dividers can separate several containers. Both take up space within the carton.
White folding paperboard, including SBS/FBB-type stock, is a starting point for printed retail cartons. Kraft board provides a brown surface where that appearance suits the brand. Check small text and colour contrast on the selected stock.
Board grade depends on the filled weight and carton span. Our guide to board weight and thickness explains why GSM alone cannot establish stiffness. The base and folds also affect how the carton carries its contents.
Straight or reverse tuck-end cartons suit compact packs where the loaded base is appropriate. Heavier bottles may call for an auto-lock bottom construction, assessed with the chosen board. Specify hand packing or the equipment used to erect and load the carton.
Agree flat-packed or assembled supply for the selected structure. A tear-open display carton needs a different opening from a single retail box. A wrapped rigid lid-and-base box is an optional route for launch kits.
Supply the approved product text before the print layout is finalised. Ingredients and storage instructions need room alongside the brand and variant name. The brand’s content approval remains separate from artwork-file preparation.
Reserve a batch, lot or date-coding area for the process your packer uses. An unprinted patch alone does not establish that coding ink will adhere. Confirm the surface treatment with the coding process before production.
Barcode and QR placement also need clear surrounding space. Keep folds, joins and decorative effects from interfering with the agreed code area. Any required barcode verification or packing-line trial should be specified separately.
CMYK printing supports graphics and colour-coded variants. Pantone spot colours provide another route for brand-led artwork, with colour approval on the chosen board. Keep product names and pack counts easy to distinguish across versions.
Matt or gloss varnish, coatings and lamination provide different surface appearances. Limited foil or embossed detail can highlight a logo. Spot UV, debossing and soft-touch finishes are optional choices, selected around readability and handling.
A finish approved for the front panel may be unsuitable for a coding area. Record the treatment panel by panel rather than applying one instruction across the whole carton. Keep each artwork version linked to its product and quantity.
A retail carton may need an outer shipping box. Microflute corrugated can be assessed for grouped or heavier containers, with fittings around the packed load. Bulk dispatch needs the finished retail-carton dimensions and the intended number per outer.
The complete shipping arrangement should account for the primary containers, carton and internal supports. Transit evaluation concerns that complete pack; it does not establish probiotic stability. Specify any required testing and approval steps before the order is agreed.
For wholesale probiotic box enquiries, list quantities by size and artwork version. Production takes 7–10 working days after artwork approval, with transit time separate. Shipping is free to the UK and all US states; Healey covers shipping and applicable import duties and taxes.
Upload reference images through the quote form. Send print-ready PDF, AI or PSD files to sales@healeypackaging.co.uk, including your enquiry reference. References explain the appearance; the print files need to match the agreed carton layout.

Recheck the new bottle even if its stated volume is unchanged. Cap shape, outside dimensions and filled weight may alter the fit or support required.
Possibly, if the layout retains each count appropriately. A lower count can leave space for movement, so assess the arrangement and any partitions for each version.
Check the folded leaflet’s thickness and loading position first. It should fit without forcing the closure or pressing against the primary pack’s sealed edges.
Share the equipment’s carton requirements before the structure is approved. Check erection, loading and closing with the actual pack; a hand-packed sample alone does not establish line compatibility.
An opening seal may indicate interference when suitably designed. Child resistance is a separate function and cannot be inferred from a seal or tuck closure.
