Custom 100ml Bottle Boxes: Measure Bottle, Not Mark

“100ml” tells us how much the container holds. It doesn’t tell us how tall or wide the packaging needs to be. Take two 100ml bottles from different suppliers and place them together. One may be short with broad shoulders; another could be a tall, narrow dropper bottle. Add a pump, pipette or oversized cap and the difference becomes greater.

So, when a buyer asks what size box for a 100ml bottle, the useful answer is: measure the complete container first. We need its maximum width, depth and height with the final closure attached.

A Larger Bottle Puts More Weight on the Base

Moving from a small sample bottle to a 100ml container changes more than the carton dimensions. There’s simply more weight to support. Glass bottles make this particularly noticeable. The bottom panels need to stay secure while cartons are packed, lifted, stacked and moved through distribution.

Board grade and closure style should therefore be chosen around the filled bottle rather than copied from packaging made for a smaller container. For heavier packs, a stronger base construction or internal support may be worth considering.

Droppers Can Make the Carton Surprisingly Tall

A box of 100ml dropper bottles needs to account for the entire closure assembly. The pipette collar and rubber bulb can add considerable height above the glass shoulder. Leaving too little clearance puts the top of the dropper close to the carton panel; leaving too much gives the bottle room to move.

We normally work from the assembled bottle measurement rather than the glass container on its own. If you’re changing dropper suppliers, it’s worth checking the dimensions again before repeating an old box order.

100ml Bottle Box with Close Fit or Fitted Insert

A carton needs some tolerance so the bottle can be inserted without forcing it. That doesn’t mean leaving a large gap around the container. Excessive space allows a heavier bottle to move from side to side when the pack is handled. With glass, that can increase the chance of damage before the product reaches the customer.

A close-fitting 100ml bottle box may be sufficient for straightforward shapes. Bottles with rounded shoulders, unusual bases or premium presentation requirements can be paired with a fitted insert. The insert can hold the container centrally instead of relying on additional loose packing.

100ml Bottle Multi Box for Sets and Combinations

Some products are sold as sets. A 100ml bottle multi box may contain two or more bottles, or combine the main product with accessories and smaller containers. Once several bottles share a carton, separating them becomes important. Allowing glass containers to touch each other creates an obvious weak point during handling.

Board partitions or fitted inserts can create individual positions inside the pack while keeping the overall presentation organised. For gift and product sets, this also makes the contents look intentional when the customer opens the box.

Don’t Shrink the Label Copy to Fit the Carton

A 100ml product can carry a surprising amount of information. The outer packaging may need a product name, instructions, ingredients, barcode, batch information, business details and other information applicable to the item being sold.

Trying to squeeze everything onto the front panel usually makes the design harder to read. The better approach is to plan the artwork across all usable panels from the production dieline. Important information can then be separated from promotional graphics without putting text over folds or too close to cut edges.

CBD, Hemp and Tincture Packaging Needs Care With Claims

Searches for 100ml bottle packaging sometimes include CBD oil, hemp oil and tinctures. The carton itself can be manufactured and printed for lawful products, but packaging does not determine whether the contents can legally be sold or whether a particular product claim is permitted.

Board Specification Comes Before Decorative Finishes

A good-looking carton still needs to carry the bottle properly. Folding paperboard is suitable for many 100ml bottle packaging boxes, particularly for cosmetics, personal care and other retail products. Heavier glass containers or demanding distribution routes may require a stronger specification.

Once the structure is settled, printing and finishing can be considered around the brand. Foil blocking, embossing and selected coatings can give premium ranges a more distinctive finish without interfering with the basic job of holding the bottle.

Where sustainability is part of the brief, fibre-based and responsibly sourced board options can be discussed where available and suitable. Environmental or certification claims should always match the material actually specified.

Reuse the Structure When the Bottle Stays the Same

Brands often sell several formulas, fragrances or product variants in the same 100ml container. That’s useful from a packaging perspective.

Once a structure has been tested against the bottle, it can often support several artwork versions. You don’t need a completely new carton construction simply because the printed design changes.

Keep an eye on the container specification, though. Switching to a different cap, pump or bottle supplier may be enough to alter the fit, even when the new container still holds exactly 100ml.
