Some products are not suited to single-piece cartons. They need a base and a separate lid that slides over the top. This is where telescopic packaging is used. Custom telescoping boxes are built as two-piece structures, allowing the lid to cover the base fully or partially. Telescopic Box: A Two-Piece Structure That Redefine Unboxing

A telescopic box is made in two parts. One forms the base, the other acts as the lid. The lid slides over the base rather than folding from it.

This type of structure is often used when the packaging needs a more controlled opening. It is also used when the product inside needs to stay covered until the lid is lifted.

A full telescope box covers the entire base, while other formats may leave part of the base visible. Both versions are used depending on how the product is presented.

Telescopic boxes are seen across different industries. Gift packaging, electronics, storage boxes and retail packaging all use this format.

A telescoping gift box is often used where presentation matters. The separate lid creates a more defined opening compared to standard cartons.
